2010 One-Act Festival Recap
The January 2010 One-Act Play Festival featured performances by three area middle schools.
Shelburne Community School presented Not So Grimm Tales directed by Jennifer Sokolowski.
F.H. Tuttle Middle School presented a slightly shortened version of Our Town, which was directed by David Bailey.
Edmunds Middle School presented an original adaptation of Shakespeare’s The Tempest: Circo Tempeste. This was written and directed by Don Wright.
The festival stage manager was South Burlington High School junior Carly Stine.
In addition to the performances, the festival weekend featured an acting and character development workshop, a critiquing session that gave the actors an opportunity to critique the work of others, and plenty of social time to allow the kids to make new friendships and learn about many different approaches to theatre.
